"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 KJV.

The Rejection of the Messiah – 20/8/2017 – PM

"Who has believed our report?  And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?  For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground.  He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.  He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.  And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him."  Isaiah 53:1-3 NKJV.

The Danger of Hypocrisy – 20/8/2017 - AM

'Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God, and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed in the law, and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.  You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself?  You preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?  You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery?  You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?  You who make your boast in the law do you dishonour God through breaking the law?  For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.'

How Do We Measure Success - 13/8/2017 - PM

What should be the measurement of success in Christian ministry? Many in the modern church count success by the number's sitting in the pews, others by the amount of money in the offering or the attendance at organised events.
Listen to this afternoons Audio Sermon as Rev. Hall shares how the Apostle Paul measured success in his 2nd Letter to the Corinthian church.  Our text is taken from 2 Corinthians 3:1-3.

What About Those Who Have Never Heard The Gospel? - 13/8/2017 - AM

What about those people who have never heard the Gospel? Is God just to condemn them? What about those who have heard but never responded to the life changing gospel of Christ?  What about me? The Apostle Paul answers these questions in the letter to the Romans.  This morning's sermon is taken from Romans 2:12-16.

" But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God, who will render to each one according to his deeds, eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.  For there is no partiality with God."  Romans 2:5-11 NKJV.
