Not like other sins – Why we are opposed to Same sex marriage
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of
God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God.”
Dear congregation,
As I am sure you are all aware, there is to be an Australia wide
postal vote about Same-Sex-Marriage. You will, undoubtedly, have been already exposed
to proponents of both sides of the argument, each making their case as to why

The Conquering Christ – 10/9/2017 – PM
Yet it
pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD
shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see
the labour of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall
bear their iniquities.
Therefore I
will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with
the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with
the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the

The Man in My Mirror -10/9/2017 – AM
What
then? Are we better than they? Not at all.
For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all
under sin.
As it is
written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands;
there is none who seeks after God.
They have
all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who
does good, no, not one.”
“Their
throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit, the
poison of asps is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and
bitterness.”
“Their feet
are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way
of peace they have not known.”
“There is no
fear of God before their eyes.” Romans

The Silent Saviour - 3/9/2017 - PM

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?
Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: "That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged."
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)
Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world? For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? And why not say," "Let us do evil that good may come"?- as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.
